PROJECT INTRO
For my first 2nd year project, I have decided to create a vegan and animal cruelty free cosmetics brand. My project will be split into 5 sections illustration, Branding, Product designs, Marketing and UX/UI.

After initially planning my project, I decided I wanted it to contain many elements of illustration. Looking back at my strengths and my interests gained in my first year project, I wanted to further my research into an artist I have used in the past, this being Jason Munn making him a small research link, as I like his use of shapes and flat colours.
I also wanted to experiment with many styles so I can find what suited my project as I hadn’t 100% decided on a style. This led me to searching on Pinterest and google until I found some artists that represented the styles I would like to try.

I have decided to not split my project equally into stages, as all the different sections intertwine and help each other. Without my illustrations I cannot complete my branding, and I can’t complete my illustration without my branding. Initially, my project was named ATOLL, as I wanted it to have a coral and aquatic theme, atoll is a type of a coral reef so it fit well.
Within the brand I wanted to do different ‘collections’ containing land animals, however, when doing my photoshoot at a zoo over the summer my idea changed, and I wanted to change my subject matter to land animals. Therefore, being renamed

Starting with illustration and branding as my main sections, i want to use them to create my brands visual identity inspired by brands such as The Body Shop and Lush. My first section using these is my 'Product Design' where i will design the overall visual identity for my brand.I want to use different illustrations for each product giving it a set theme for its packaging and bottle design. Supporting this I want to create label designs for shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser bottles and possibly perfume, all of which relate to the animals they are designed after by name. Lastly, I may create designs for products such as tote bags and washbags, so people would have somewhere to stock these products.

Marketing-
For this part of my project, I want to create poster designs you would see on billboards, websites and possibly creating a moving image sequence. It will use a lot of mockups to show how my posters will look on real life billboards and websites. This part of my project possibly may have its own photoshoot with a mock-up bottle, showing the product in a real life scenario.

UX/UI-
lastly, I want to design a website and/or an app that real life customers would use. I want this to have the illustrations of the animals on the front page and the logo in a large font as soon as you open the page. This page must follow the colour scheme used in all my other designs for continuity.
