Trails
Within my third stage I want to experiment with a slow shutter speed and create long exposure images of car lights on a motorway. This stage will focus on the lines of light created from these cars and manipulating them, there is also an element in the darkroom where I hand make photograms focusing on lines within a self created composition.

Settings:
When experimenting with the manual camera it is important not to ignore the exposure triangle. Since my shutter is going to be open for as long as 30 seconds I need to adjust the aperture to let as little light into the camera as possible. In addition, I also kept the ISO the same by using a filter that attached onto the end of my camera lens (ND2-400 Filter) which helped stop my photos from being overexposed.

Film Grain:

Using film grain, I wanted to make my images have a 'vintage' feel to them like Eric Staller sometimes achieves in his images, whilst also merging it with the lines to see what effect it creates.

Focusing on the movement of the lines within the composition.

Failed Images:
Even though these images failed due to elements such as movement or incorrect settings, I thought these still looked interesting to the eye as the look almost like lighting.
Layering Developments:
Previous images layered on top of original images.

Photogram Set 1:
Using string, I wanted to create my own intersecting lines that I will overlay on top of my original images. These photograms were exposed for 6 seconds however, I would like to create another set where the lines are fully white.
Photogram Set 2:
Exposed for 8 seconds.
